The sparkle machine behind the counter

Every jeweller knows the moment: the customer's ring goes in dull and comes back five minutes later looking like the day it sold. That moment closes repairs, upsells services and sells the machine a hundred times over.

Front of house and back of bench

Retail counter service

Customer cleans while they wait: rings, chains and bracelets — polish residue, hand cream and skin oils out of settings in 3–5 minutes. The before/after is the best sales tool in the shop.

Repair & manufacture bench

Post-polish rouge and tripoli stripped from claws, galleries and undercuts before rhodium or delivery — no cotton-bud archaeology.

Watch work

Cases, bracelets and (movement out) parts cleaned in the small basket; degas mode for fresh solutions keeps results consistent.

Rinse & present

Quick rinse, blow dry, present on the pad. Total counter time: under ten minutes.

Stone care card: diamonds, sapphires, rubies and solid gold are routine on Low power. Keep out: pearls, opals, emeralds (oiled/filled), turquoise, coral, amber, anything foiled or glued, and loose or fracture-filled stones. Print the list at the tank — it is the whole risk conversation.

Why the trade standardised on ultrasonics

It sells while it cleans

A free five-minute clean turns a browse into a sitting customer, a repair drop-off into an upsell, and a dull ring into a referral.

Finish quality

Rouge out of every claw and gallery before plating — rejects and re-polishes fall away when the prep is cavitation instead of cotton buds.

Bench economics

A $1,622.50 machine doing five counter cleans a day pays for itself in goodwill alone before you count the repair prep it does at the back.

Questions from this trade

Asked every week

Is it safe for diamond rings?
Yes — diamonds in sound settings are the textbook application. The machine also tells on loose stones: if a stone was about to leave, better in your tank with a mesh basket than on the customer's hand next week. Check settings before and after, as you already do.
Which stones must stay out?
Porous, organic, oiled or composite stones: pearls, opals, emeralds, turquoise, coral, amber, foil-backs and anything glued. When in doubt, hand-clean.
Will it remove tarnish from silver?
It removes soils; heavy sulphide tarnish is a chemical job — pair the machine with the right dip/solution and it does both steps beautifully.
Can I clean watches in it?
Cases and bracelets with the movement out, yes. Never a cased movement unless the manufacturer rates it. Watchmakers run parts baskets; that is what the small mesh accessories are for.
What does the counter setup cost?
PS 603 at $1,622.50 inc GST with basket and lid included, plus solution and the parts rack — under $1,800 inc GST to put the best closing tool in the shop behind your counter.

What are you cleaning?

Tell us what the part is, what comes off it, and what it has to pass. Technical sales will tell you whether ultrasonics is the right answer for that part and what it takes to run it on your own floor.
